The LEADERSHIP Team

Raptis is one of the Gold Coast’s most experienced and progressive developers.

For more than forty years, they have developed and constructed some of the most iconic landmarks along the Coast and have substantially shaped the city’s distinctive skyline.

The Raptis name is synonymous with quality and stylish living and is acknowledged for introducing new trends. Many developments have received industry recognition at both a local and national level.

Importantly, the Raptis legacy is founded on family values and while father and son, Jim and Evan, spearhead the company’s growth, the overall success of the company is attributable to a dedicated team of professionals. This entire team has decades of experience in development, design, construction, sales and property management.

Jim Raptis OBE
Founder & Co-Managing Director

Jim Raptis began developing property in Sydney in 1967 and his passion for design and architecture has been evident from the beginning. The Raptis name became synonymous with the Gold Coast with the launch of the Mykonos development in 1978. From then, his company has contributed majorly in creating the region’s iconic relaxed lifestyle.

Evan Raptis
Co-Managing Director

Evan Raptis has had ten years’ experience as a Co-Managing Director of his own development company. Over that decade, 11 well-received developments were completed and sold.

Evan brings that experience back to the family business and anticipates that the coming years will provide much more opportunity for the company’s future growth.

For ten years, Evan Raptis was partner and Co- Managing Director in the Emandar Group– a property development, construction and property management company. Over the decade, Emandar developed 11 successful projects on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane.

Emandar’s debut projects concentrated on the northern end of the Gold Coast with two developments, Cove35 (45 units) and The Reserve (40 townhouses).

From there, the company developed Sentosa Waters on the unique Paradise Island. This development consisted of 50 units.

Following, Emandar chose to develop near Harbourtown with a first project called Harbour Quays. This consisted of 6 buildings – 350 units in all. The second development in the same area was East Quays and comprised of 4 buildings of 290 units.

In between these projects, Emandar developed in Brisbane. These four developments – at Taigum (80 Townhouses), Callamvale (75 Townhouses), Carseldine (75 Townhouses) and at Nundah (80 Units)- were well received.

Emandar’s final project was on the Gold Coast. This consisted of two buildings of 300 units. The development is named South Lakes and is located at Varsity Lakes.
